Get to Know Ryan Dixon
Ryan began his career in the financial world in 2010, and quickly became a key financial advisor at Harwood. He is a big believer in the importance of relationships and credits this belief with his success both personally and professionally. He knows that navigating changing market conditions can be a daunting task for the uninitiated, and takes great pride in helping clients come up with effective plans for safeguarding their money and achieving their goals.
Ryan grew up in Seminole, Florida, dreaming of playing professional baseball. After years of perseverance and hard work, he was chosen in the 2001 Major League Baseball draft. Unfortunately, an injury prevented him from signing, but he continued to play collegiate baseball while earning a degree in sports management from Stetson University. After college, he was able to realize his dream and play a season in the minors with the St. Louis Cardinals, but regrettably, his recurring injury prevented a long-term career.
Ryan’s brush with the glitz of professional sports taught him early on about the financial vulnerabilities that he and his family would face throughout life. This drove him towards work in the financial sector, where he could have a positive influence on others and assist them with the preservation of their hard-earned money.
Outside of work, Ryan is often at the beach, where he spends a great deal of time with his wife Tara and his son Rhett.
